Hello,
where i work we use the well known data archive/operational intelligence PI system from OSISoft. It integrates the ability to specify a compression value so that neglectable variations are not recorded (depending on the needs of each measurement). I think this would be a good thing to add to Cayenne ! It Would also leads to lower data storage in the cloud.
