Getting Sensor Data From Channel With API

I was wondering how I can get a sensors data from a device using the channel that its sending on with the rest API. It could also be with a different API like the MQTT but im just wondering if there is a way.

Did you ever get this figured out? @Neoxelox has some good posts on the API and can help if not.
