Cayenne’s Product Manager, Benny Estes, will be taking a dive into one of the newer technologies that has surfaced in the wide area network for IoT, LoRa technology. LoRa is a wireless technology developed to create the low-power, wide-area networks (LPWAN’s) required for many machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The technology offers a mix of long-range, low-power consumption and secure data transmission, and is gaining significant traction in IoT networks being deployed by wireless network operators.

Joining the show is LoRa expert, Vikram Kumar. Vikram is the founder of KotahiNet, which provides a purpose-built, public wireless networks for the Internet of Things, along with data and sensor services. He also runs LPWAN Market, a website dedicated to LPWAN products and services.
