I have combined some of the devices and BYOT tiles on a project view for ease of reference but have noticed that arranging them in a specific order only lasts untill I close the Cayenne iOS app - then they all appear to reset to a different layout again. Is there a way to save the layout?

Good to see you again. This is a bigger task that we will be doing in 2018…better saving state of widget placement for mobile apps.
Can you try creating the desired layout from web? Then mobile apps may follow the placement as defined on web side.
