Won't go past install step 4

I first tried to install from the Raspberry pi 3 with the Raspbian Stretch OS. It gets stuck on the end of Step 4. All items are check-marked and the unit rebooted. I left it like that for six hours.

I then tried installing from my iphone and it is stuck at ‘Done…Just a moment’.

I then tried activating the wifi and the results are the same.

I then reloaded the SD card with Raspbian Jesse and it is still telling me to wait and no dashboard.

What am I doing wrong here?

When you run the command from the terminal, can you post the output here?

What is the command I need to type in?

Log in to your dashboard on a computer, click Add New>Device/Widget>Raspberry Pi then the command will be shown in option 2 (don’t use the code in my screen shot, yours will be unique to you)

wget https://cayenne.mydevices.com/dl/rpi_nce1xvb7j5.sh
sudo bash rpi_nce1xvb7j5.sh -v

It never gets to the dashboard, so I copied the lines from the intro screen after logging on.
I tried capturing that page 4 screen, but I had an issue with Scrot.

Also, I’m using dhcp. Should I use a static IP instead?

This is the screen, it is stuck on.

Hello Adam,

I didn’t see your private email until today. Sorry for the delay.

This is the command I used to login via the web page.

wgethttps://cayenne.mydevices.com/dl/rpi_nce1xvb7j5.sh
sudo bash rpi_nce1xvb7j5.sh -v

This is the screen I’m stuck on.

I have since tried many times to login via my Iphone and it always says
the same thing. That is ‘done’ and the rotating circle icon. But
nothing comes up.

I even tried just adding a widget via my phone and it allows me to name
the widget, but it doesn’t allow me to add a device. When I tell it to
add the device anyway, it says I have to fill out the page.

This is so confusing.
I’d appreciate any help you can give me.

Are there ports that need to be opened on my router?

my dashboard came up finally. I used another login and opened up all the ports on the firewall and it
came up. I’ll have to find out what ports are used. I think I read somewhere that the 500X ports are used.
Please close this issue.

One last thing. I was using kernal 4.9 and this needs 4.5. I found it in the community and ran the line,
sudo rpi-update 52241088c1da59a359110d39c1875cda56496764 to go back.

Thank-you all.

two final corrections.

  1. The command to change Kernals took me to 4.4, not 4.5.
  2. The port I needed to open was not in the 5000 range, it was 8081.
