Alternatives to SIM800 for cellular connection & MQTT with Microcontrollers

Hi Guys,
I’m looking for cellular modules such as the SIM800 for RaspberryPi and Arduino. It should be extremely power efficient, the SIM800 still draws too much current in standby mode for my taste, it is around 1mA.

Do you know of alternatives? Also, it supports GSM only, I’d be interested in LTE and NB-IoT modems as well but these are quite pricy with 60EUR upwards from what I’ve seen.

That is the peak current which you are referring to. Check what is the standby current.
