Cannot connects to Cayenne from IPv6 only IOT Device

Thank you for taking the time to submit your bug/issue! Please use the points below as a guide when submitting.

  • Device: AI Thinker ESP-12F ESP8266 module using Arduino IDE LWIP variant IPv6 High Performance

  • Dashboard: Web (though this doesn’t matter)

  • My devices are on an IPv6 only network. There are no IPv4 services available. They cannot connect to the Cayenne MQTT server because it has no AAAA records in DNS.

FYI – For now, I’m using Solace instead of Cayenne to work around this issue as they have full IPv6 support.
