Another trick :
if you want more than 1 widget for the same Sensor on the Cayenne Dashboard

Ex : Graph Temperature + Gauge Temperature + Value Temperature

In your sketch : apply 1 channel for 1 widget !
Ex:

  • channel 1 for Graph Temp
  • channel 2 for Gauge Temp
  • channel 2 for Value Temp

Then in Cayenne Dashboard you select what kind of widget you apply for the 3 new channel appeared.

That’s how I’ve been doing it, works great but it puts you closer to the 60 messages each minute limit which may be a problem.

Is 60 messages a minute total for all channels, or devices or account?

I was under the impression it was no more than 10 per second, although I don’t send 10 per second I send 1 per second this is x number of sensors x number of devices…

Too much?

But here the charts are being updated with new data, but it is still outdated and still differnet?..

It isn’t ‘Stuck’ it is updating but settling on wrong time frames?..

I’m a dope, I realised I had changed the time frame for the charts so in actual fact they were not updating, and looking back at the data view i can now see what you mean about data not being present.

So short of it is in reality I am still back where I started. I Don’t have a single fully operational dashboard :persevere:

I think you will have to choose a compromise between number of widgets and frequency of post data :thinking:
