Bug Filed on 03-30-2016: DS18b20 send error

Sensor Taimekapp reads -2147483.65 Celsius. The alert is set to 16 Celsius or lower. This is connected to Garaazi vaarikas.

This error is 1-2 times at 24 hours every day.

Hi Seston,

The large negative number usually means that there is a mis-wiring of the DS18B20 temperature sensor. Does the dashboard also display the large negative number?

Or does only the alert text have the large negative number?

These large numbers needed filtered out. This is only in day view.

This is maybe from ds18b20 connection. I not solder these.

I’m thinking it may be from ds18b20 connection too. Large negative numbers or positive numbers generally mean there could be wiring problem. Keep us updated with what you find out after checking. Thanks!

I solder connections and ds18b20 connected to Raspberry with jumper wires 15cm. 4k7 resistor → 1 meter cable to ds.

After soldering, are you still getting those large negative number values? Is this still an issue?
