Displaying a floating point value...without sending a floating point value! Arduino

Any brilliant ideas on how to send a floating point value (a battery voltage) with an Arduino when there isnt enough code space to convert it to a float? I’d rather have a display in volts instead on millivolts - this is where being able to scale a reading in the dashboard widget would be super handy!
