I clicked the button to search for Pis on first boot. It moved to the next screen as if it had found one and asked me to select one. Apparently it hadn’t found one because there was nothing on the list. It should say none found rather than progressing as if things are well.

You need to have either Wheezy or Jessie (recommended) installed in order for Cayenne to work on your pi.

This bug report is less about getting it to work on this particular Pi of mine and more about the UX of your app.
