Hey. Exists any Python Library for connect to Cayenne Service, or any Rest API, because I have a Raspberry Pi 2 but I have too a BeagleBone Green, and I prefer this device for IoT Projects (for native adc) and a have many Grove Modules that I would like to use.
If you have a python library for publish data (like another IoT Web Service) I would make awesome projects, because I don’t have Raspberry Expansion for ADC, and your widget and actuators and sensor are very few.
Thx,
anyway I will try to do any project for the contest;)
Welcome my friend to the Cayenne community. We are actually going to be launching our MQTT API very soon, which will enable you to bring on your BeagleBone Green, or any other device you would like. (By the way, I agree with you that BeagleBone is preferred device for IoT projects).
If you’re up for the task, would you be interested in creating a tutorial about how to use our MQTT API to get the BeagleBone Green connected in Cayenne? I could give you private access to the API when it is ready for Alpha testing?
Oh Sure!
A MQTT API sounds good, would connect other devices like the Omega Onion or LinkIt (also I have), and even connect my pc with windows (where I installed the MQTT libraries).
Please take me in mind for alpha testing, of course I would love to develop a tutorial to connect BBG and Cayenne
Did you submit your project to Hackster.io and Instructables.com? And also post a review on the Cayenne app? Once you do this I will send you the participation prize money right away!
Also thanks for doing the video tutorial in Spanish, I will let our Marketing team know so we re-post it too.
Consider this an early version, I wanted to do more elaborate but the app does not give many facilities (yet, hopefully).
In one (or two) weeks buy external modules for Raspberry Pi compatible with the Cayenne App, which allows me to manage analog output, and also use slides instead of button widget.
I hope this project will also help the team Cayenne to think about developing a widget to control a RGB LED (as does Blynk with zeRGBa).
If the project is selected (and awarded), and give me the necessary tools to create a new widget (as a basic tutorial), I promise to make the attempt to create a Widget to handle this, really like to see in the app.
My next project will be, connect the Raspberry Pi with LinkIt ONE, and then try to connect other boards that I have (that are compatible with Blynk) as the Spark Photon and LinkIt Duo
Regards.
Please, don’t forget review projects and enable prizes hehe
Sorry @laurencehr, I was away from the community traveling for some time, but I am back now I have just sent you your prize. I love the LinkIt One project! This is surely a good contender for the $200 grand prize.
Hello, here’s another getting started to connect my Photon to Cayenne, there was a reference in a topic but was not detailed, so I decided to do it and explain it step by step.
