Lightning Sensor (AS3935) with Raspberry Pi via I2C

Dear all,
I’m working on a project that involves connecting a Lightning Strike Distance Sensor (AS3935) to a Raspberry Pi using I2C. I found a video on YouTube that talks about it, and I combined it with an article that goes over the specifics of AS3935. But, it still confused me without using a breadboard, is there any way to link it to the Raspberry Pi?
