Bug Filed on 03-14-2016: Analog Input widget loses data

1. What OS? (Wheezy or Jessie)

Jessie

2. What class/size SD card? (ex. class 10 16gb)

Class 6 16GB

3. What Model Pi? (A+, A, B+, B, Pi2)

Pi2

4. Please describe the bug / issue. Attaching any relevant screenshots would be very helpful! Thanks in advance.

I have set up an “Analog Input widget” for channel 0 of an MCP3008 A to D converter. It initially works, but if I shut down the Pi2 and restart it, the widget is there but no data. The MCP3008 appears to be operating correctly. I have to “remove” the sensor and then make a new one.

One suggestion would be to add a “scaling” factor to the widget setup. For example, if there was a voltage divider on an input attached to a battery, the display could then be scaled to reflect the battery voltage ie. “12.0” in place of “1.00”. Just a thought…

Thank You

Hey Jim,

We’ve finally reproduced. We’ll investigate for a fix and I’ll update this post.
