Bug Filed on 06-13-2016: Dashboard not working when connected to "work" wifi network[solved: on corporate network]

What dashboard are you using? (Web, iOS, Android)
Web

What OS? (Jessie, Wheezy)
Wheezy

What Model Pi?
Pi2

At work we are provided with a general wifi network for browising internet. When the pi is connected at home, the dashboard works good, but when connected at work, dashboard is showing offline, yet full internet access is available on the pi. Could it be that Cayenne, uses certain ports that the work network is blocking?

Wifi connection: I connect to the work wifi network with an android phone (as it takes care of the PEAP enterprise protocol) and tethered the internet connection to the pi via usb. As mentioned, I can browse the internet etc.

Thanks,
Ken

Port 8181 is used by Cayenne. If your Corporate network blocks this port, you’re NG.

They are working on finding a better port that is not routinely blocked.

As far as we’ve been told, once Android integration is released, they’ll work on the backlog.

Thanks for the info

Just a small, but important clarification here, Once Arduino integration is released…

You should here us internally reference Arduino as Android and Android as Arduino…very confusing!

Ha. Yeah. Arduino.

Let’s just call it Andrino, and be done with it.

However, it will no longer be allowed to go to the bathroom of it’s choosing. sigh

Hi,
Probably trying to extract pre release info here; re the Arduino integration, will the platform be an Arduino connected to the Pi implementation, or a stand alone Arduino with ethernet sheild implementation?
Thanks,
Ken

Stand alone with shield implementation. Great question!
